The Blackpine is a black-cedar A-frame set right on the water, its whole gable end glazed floor-to-ridge so the lake is the first thing you see in the morning and the last thing you watch go dark. Inside, a tan sofa faces the glass, a black wood stove takes the chill off, and a staircase climbs to a loft bedroom tucked under the peak.
Out front, a deck with two Adirondack chairs, a fire bowl, and string lights steps down to the shoreline and a private dock with a red canoe pulled up on the flagstones. When the fire's low, the cedar hot tub is steaming a few steps away.

Mara grew up summering on these lakes and built the Blackpine as the cabin she always wished she could rent, all glass and quiet, right on the water. She lives nearby, keeps a canoe on the dock and firewood by the stove, and knows which coves are best at first light. Arrive to a lit fire bowl and a warm hot tub.

Good to know
Self check-in from 4:00 PM with a smart lock; check-out is 11:00 AM. You'll get the door code and driving directions the morning you arrive.
The Blackpine isn't pet-friendly, to keep it comfortable for guests with allergies. Message the host before booking if you'd like to ask.
